The much-anticipated revelation of the revered Ram Lalla idol’s countenance has finally unfolded, just on the brink of the monumental pran pratishtha ceremony scheduled for January 22nd at the Ayodhya temple. On Friday, the Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) shared a captivating image of the meticulously crafted 51-inch black stone idol, sculpted by Arun Yogiraj from Mysuru, now proudly placed in the Ayodhya temple’s sanctum sanctorum.
In this unprecedented glimpse, the idol stands adorned with a delicate garland of roses, and for the first time, its divine face is unveiled. The idol’s arrival on Wednesday night, accompanied by resonating prayers, culminated in its sacred positioning on Thursday. Notably, a yellow cloth currently veils the idol’s eyes, adding an air of mystique to the divine presentation.
VHP leader Sharad Sharma, quoted by news agency Press Trust of India, shared insights into the ongoing rituals, emphasizing the spiritual significance of the upcoming ceremony. Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to grace the pran pratishtha ceremony on January 22nd, commencing at 12:20 pm and anticipated to conclude by 1 pm. Following this consecration, the temple doors will open to the public from the subsequent day.
Reports suggest that rituals paving the way for the consecration have already commenced at the temple. Prime Minister Modi, in preparation for this auspicious event, has diligently observed 11 days of rituals, including fasting. His spiritual journey has encompassed diverse acts of devotion, such as “gau-pooja” (cow worship), along with philanthropic gestures like donating food and clothing.
As part of the meticulous preparations leading up to the Ayodhya ceremony, the Prime Minister embarked on a pilgrimage tour across the country. This sacred journey included visits to revered temples like Ramkund and Shree Kalaram Temple in Nashik, Veerabhadra Temple in Lepakshi, Andhra Pradesh, as well as Guruvayur and Triprayar Sree Ramaswami Temple in Kerala. The blend of spiritual reverence and national significance underscores the profundity of the impending pran pratishtha ceremony at Ayodhya.
